Reorder PDF Pages
Put every page in the right place before you export
Reordering is easiest when the entire document is visible as a thumbnail grid. Users should drag pages, multi-select a block, or use keyboard-accessible move controls. Page numbers in the UI must refer clearly to current document position so the user is never unsure what moved.
Choose a PDFDrop a file here or browse. Your pages are opened and rewritten inside this browser tab — nothing is uploaded.
The SEO route can open the unified Organize Pages workspace with Reorder already selected. That preserves a focused search experience while letting the user rotate or delete a page without leaving the document.
What this tool does and does not change
- Preserved where the source file allows it: text, vectors, links, annotations, forms.
- Outline order is not rewritten to match the new page order
Questions about Reorder PDF Pages
- How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?
- Open the PDF and drag page thumbnails into the desired order. On keyboard or touch interfaces, use explicit Move before/after controls. Export only after the thumbnail sequence matches the document you want.
- Can I move several pages together?
- Yes. Multi-select a group of pages and move the group as one block. The UI should preserve their internal order unless the user deliberately reorders within the selection.
- Can I rotate or delete pages while I am reordering?
- Yes. Reorder, rotate and delete belong in the same Organize Pages workspace so a user can clean a scan in one pass. The dedicated URLs remain separate only to match search intent and open the workspace in the relevant mode.
- Does changing page order affect quality?
- No. Reordering changes the sequence of existing PDF pages; it does not require converting or recompressing those pages.
- What happens to bookmarks when pages move?
- Bookmarks that target specific page objects should ideally follow those pages, while generated table-of-contents text printed on the page will not update automatically. The exporter should preserve or repair valid destinations and warn if a complex bookmark structure cannot be maintained.
- Will printed page numbers update when I reorder pages?
- No. Numbers already printed in the page content move with the page. If the document needs new sequential pagination after reordering, run Add Page Numbers once the final order is set.
- Can I restore the original order?
- During the session, use Undo or Reset order. The original source file remains unchanged, so you can always reopen it if you want to start again from the initial sequence.
