Control over how documents leave your organization
Business adds enforceable rules on top of Team: what must happen before an export, which tools are approved, and a longer activity history for administrators. The processing model does not change — every tool still runs in the member's browser, so a policy is enforced on the device instead of on a server.
Document policies you can enforce
Require metadata removal
Exports must strip author, producer, title and other document metadata where the format allows it.
Require flatten before export
Annotations, form fields and visual signatures must be flattened, so a recipient cannot edit or reorder them.
Require watermark
An organization watermark is applied to exports and cannot be removed by members.
Require password protection
Exports must carry an open password. The password is typed at export time and never stored or transmitted.
Approved tools only
Only the tools you approve are available inside the organization workspace, including direct links.
Signed PDF warning
Members are warned before exporting a modified copy of a cryptographically signed document.
Redaction confirmation
A redaction must be confirmed explicitly before it is burned into the exported file.
Safe share reminder
Members see a reminder to review hidden data before sharing a file outside the organization.
Disable network-backed features
Any feature that would send data to a server stays unavailable in the organization workspace. PDF Atelier processing is local today, so this is a forward-looking guarantee.
What the activity log is, and what it is not
The log records events: who acted, when, which tool ran, which policy applied, and whether an export was blocked. It is an operational record for administrators.
- It never records a filename, page image, document text, OCR output or metadata value.
- It never records a password, a form value or a signature.
- It is not a legal audit trail, and it is not evidence of a document's content.
- History is kept for 180 days on Business, and can be exported as CSV.
