Remove PDF Pages
Delete the pages you do not need, without rebuilding the document
The most common use cases are blank scanner pages, outdated appendices, duplicate scans and accidental cover sheets. A thumbnail grid should make deletion safer than entering page numbers blindly, especially after previous pages have already been removed.
Choose a PDFDrop a file here or browse. Your pages are opened and rewritten inside this browser tab — nothing is uploaded.
Before export, the tool should show the remaining page count and offer undo. If deleting pages affects bookmarks, page labels or form references, PDF Atelier should repair what it can and warn about structures that no longer point to valid pages.
What this tool does and does not change
- Preserved where the source file allows it: text, vectors, links, annotations, forms.
- Bookmarks that target removed pages are dropped
Questions about Remove PDF Pages
- How do I delete a page from a PDF?
- Open the PDF, select the unwanted page thumbnail and choose Delete. You can select several pages at once. Review the remaining page sequence before exporting the cleaned copy.
- Can I remove multiple non-consecutive pages at once?
- Yes. Multi-select should support separate pages such as 2, 7 and 14 as well as ranges. On mobile, selection must remain clear and not depend on keyboard modifiers.
- Can PDF Atelier automatically find blank pages?
- A blank-page detector can be offered as an assistive feature, especially for scanned documents, but it should never delete pages automatically without review. Pages containing faint marks, signatures or very light scans can look blank to an algorithm.
- Will page numbers in the document update automatically?
- Visible page numbers printed in the page content do not automatically change when a page is deleted. PDF page labels and bookmarks may also need adjustment. If correct numbering matters, run Add Page Numbers after the cleanup.
- What happens to bookmarks and form fields when I remove pages?
- Bookmarks that point to deleted pages need to be removed or redirected, and form fields on deleted pages disappear with those pages. The exported PDF should not retain broken references that jump to pages that no longer exist.
- Can I restore a deleted page?
- Before export, use Undo or reselect the page from session history. After export, the removed page is not part of the new file, so recovery should come from the original PDF, which PDF Atelier leaves untouched.
- Does deleting pages reduce PDF quality?
- No. Removing pages does not require recompressing the pages you keep. The remaining page content should preserve its original appearance and resolution.
